About

Two recalls, no defective part, and no apology either time.

I've been through two separate vehicle recalls — a Ram truck and a Harley-Davidson — and in both cases, the actual defective part was never in my vehicle. No one could tell me that at the time, because no one had a record precise enough to say so.

That gap isn't really about recalls. It's about the absence of a shared, trustworthy record of what touched what, where, and when, across a supply chain that usually spans three or more countries before a part reaches the company that has to stand behind it.

CustodyLine is the record that should have existed both of those times.
